About Me

An experimenter and learner since childhood, I’ve spent over ten years building websites. As a teenager, I taught myself HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I practiced these skills by building websites for friends and neighbors. But the Florida beaches beckoned, and it remained a hobby until I started college. At that point, I started taking programming classes and eventually declared an information technology major.
Although my classes provided a good foundation, I quickly discovered that the best way to learn how to program and build websites was through real-world experience. As a college student, I began freelancing for local companies in the Orlando area and building small web applications of my own. I also took on a lab instructor job my junior year, passing on my newly acquired skills and business savvy to others. This led to a part-time position with my university’s marketing department.
Making the world a better place, one website at a time.
After graduating, I moved to Maryland and started working at Lockheed Martin. I worked on a variety of projects there and earned multiple honors and awards, including an unusually fast promotion to Level 2 Software Engineer. To broaden my experience and focus more on web development, I moved on to Threespot, a digital engagement agency, where I currently work as a Software Engineer doing both front-end and back-end development.
